Day 4

Played with Isaiah and Elliot today - nice to have some male models for a change. :)

Day 3

Took my camera outdoors for the first time today. The bright sunlight was tricky, learned a lot about the way my camera meters light in different settings - including the fact that I still have a lot to learn! But the sky was too blue to not try to expose for it. Two of the photos I ran D-lighting on to lift the shadows off the faces, but the sky is unedited.

First day with my D80, most images are straight out of camera... only the color shots were minorly tweaked RAW images. (I went white balance crazy)

I resolved to spend the entire year shooting manually.  Some shots will be blurred, overexposed, underexposed... but you can watch my progress here.
